Perfect timing to be a US citizen -- Thursday, July 23, 2009

For many baseball fans, no moment could be more exciting than a World Series or a no-hitters or even a perfect game!

Let's take a look... May 4, 2004, I became a US immigrant and began my journey in Boston. 2 weeks later, fortunately enough, I witnessed on TV Randy Johnson's perfect game in May 18, 2004. In 2004 fall, no need to mention, Red Sox ended 86-year drought with a WS. 2005 I moved to Indianna, whose close neighbor, Chicago White Sox finished 88-year drought with an amazing WS. 2006 I spent a summer in St Louis and watched my first MLB game in the newly opened Busch Stadium. Cardinals won its WS that fall. I am not quite sure what's going on but Red Sox won its 2nd WS in the 21st century in 2007 (as a Red Sox fan, I don't mind at all). I moved on to Philadelphia in 2008 and it happened again, Phillies broke its 25-year drought with a WS.

When people started to wonder when the next perfect game would be, here we are... Thursday, July 23, 2009, Mark Buehrle pitched a perfect game (the first since 1922 in White Sox history). This very day, I became a US citizen.
